Academy POSITIONS by Berlin Hyp aims to provide the artists with important contacts such as gallery owners, curators and collectors, to encourage the transition to artistic independence and to gain initial experience on the art market. Visitors have the unique opportunity to obtain a comprehensive overview of a new generation of artists and to promote them at an early stage of their careers.

Since the first edition in 2017, over one hundred artists have been exhibited and promoted within Academy POSITIONS. Many of these artists have already secured gallery representations and opportunities for professional collaborations.

Additionally, together with Berlin Hyp, POSITIONS awards two up-and-coming Academy artists, whose works will be shown in a solo presentation at the fair the following year.
